The Basilica of St. John was a basilica in Ephesus. It was constructed by Justinian I and It stands over the believed burial site of John the Apostle.
The hill (adjacent to Selcuk city), that John lived after coming from the island of Patmos was named as Hagia Theologos, meaning the “Holy Theologian”.
