On the northeastern edge of the City of David, just south of the Temple Mount is what is believed to be David’s Palace, which is in two parts that are collectively called “Area G.”
During the excavators of this area a “four-room” house was discovered with number of artifacts from the First Temple Period along with a potsherd with the name Ahiel, so this structure was named the “House of Ahiel”.
