The Second Temple Jerusalem Model recreates the city of 66 BC, the late Second Temple Period.
The model’s focal point is the glorious reproduction of the Temple itself, which gives a real sense of the amazing feat achieved by King Herod and his builders.
The model was moved from its original location at the Holyland Hotel in Bayit VeGan, Jerusalem, to a new site at the Israel Museum in June 2006.
