Flying over the cliffs at the eastern edge of Judean Wilderness, near the Dead Sea and Masada.
The Judean Desert is marked by barren wilderness, mountains, terraces, dry river beds and cliffs rather than rolling sand dunes. The final cliff drops steeply to the Dead Sea and Jordan Valley.
The Judean Desert landscape spans from Jerusalem and the Judean Hills at 1,000m above sea in the west, all the way down to the Dead Sea at -400m below sea level in the east, and it meets the Negev Desert in the south.
Population of Judean Desert consist of small Jewish Settlement and Bedouin Villages.
