Mt. Precipice ridge separates and isolates Nazareth from the transportation routes of Jezreel Valley.
Nazareth is described by some as ‘the Forgotten Son’ of Israeli tourism.
No wonder.
Unique location of Nazareth ( On top of the ridge, but in the bottom of the valley ) served, since the Biblical times, as the “place of avoidance” for those who wished to distance and separate themselves from progressing Roman invasion.
Just south of Nazareth in the cliffs of Mt Kedumim is Mount Precipice overlooking the Jezreel Valley, the traditional site of the cliff that an angry mob attempted to throw Jesus off of after his bold proclamation in the Nazareth synagogue.
